Safeguarding

Holy Rood Church takes its responsibilities surrounding the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults who may be at risk very seriously, and works in partnership with the Diocese of Salisbury to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.

Our Parish Safeguarding Policy is as follows (confirmed in the PCC meeting of 14th February 2025):

Safeguarding in practice

Despite being a fairly small church community, our congregation size rarely numbering more than 50-60, currently (2025) there are over 20 people in Holy Rood who each have both up to date safeguarding training and a current DBS (criminal record check) clearance.
