Incumbent

Our Parish (and Benefice's) Vicar is Rev Canon Richard Bartlett

Canon Richard was installed on Thursday 7th April 2022.

He came to us with wide experience, and knows Purbeck well. He was ordained in Salisbury and made priest in Wareham, where he and his wife Jenny were married.

Apart from a period in the Swanage and Studland area, he has worked as an Associate Vicar in Ealing, as a missionary in Brazil with USPG, as Vicar of Holy Trinity Northwood, and as Director of Mission Engagement at the Anglican mission agency USPG based in central London.

Associate Priest - Reverend Jenny Alidina

Revd Jenny was licensed as Associate Priest to Holy Rood and the West Purbeck Benefice on 13th March 2019

Revd Jenny is part-time and her working days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

(Usual days off Monday, Friday and Saturday.)

Revd Lydia Reese - Assistant Curate

Lydia was ordained on 30th June 2024 and is working across the benefice in her training position as curate. She is due to be made priest on 28th June 2025 in Salisbury Cathedral.

She is in the parish Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and on weekends.

Reverend Lisselle Clarke-Moisley

Revd Lisselle was licensed as Benefice Missioner on 7th June 2025.

Originally from Essex, Lisselle spent much time in her earlier years engaged in youth and children’s work which she very much enjoyed. She has spent recent years working as an ordained minister in Dorset residential communities as part of a warden team. Lisselle has been appointed as our Benefice Missioner, and will be working to develop and extend ministry in those parts of the Benefice where it is most needed.
